Characterizaton of the Seismic Zone of Chişinău

Abstract text:
This paper presents information on seismic hazard in Chișinău city, Republic of Moldova. Analyzing historical data, eyewitness statements, and records of the Institute of Geology and Seismology of the Academy of Science of the Republic of Moldova, we can conclude that the Chişinău city is located in an active seismic area with an intensity exceeding 7 degrees on the MSK-64 scale.
